According to the CDC, in the past 60 years the suicide rate for males ages 15-24 has quadrupled while it has doubled for females of the same age group. 18-24 year olds are known to think about suicide more often than any other age group. 90% of people who kill themselves have a diagnosable mental health disorder, commonly a depressive or substance abuse disorder.

The Jason Foundation, Inc. (JFI) is a nationally recognized provider of educational curriculums and training programs for students, educators, youth workers, and parents who are focused on raising awareness of these alarming statistics and working to reverse the trend through effective prevention.
